Hello Everyone! Are you ready for Totally Thames 2022? >>>
Join us this year for our biggest mudlarking festival to date! As part of the Totally Thames 2022 festival this September, there is a month-long series of mudlarking events including exhibitions, talks and walks. Over 70 mudlarks will be displaying their personal collections in Watermen’s Hall, National Maritime Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Roman Amphitheatre in Guildhall Art Gallery.
Featuring professional photography from Tom Harrison, Antoine Buchet and Hannah Smiles, the exhibitions will be complemented by a series of guided foreshore walks and talks by mudlarks, authors, archaeologists and historians. Listen out for some poignant sea shanties by talented young singer Louis Forward. You won’t want to miss this unique chance to time travel through London and see history through the lost objects recovered from the Thames.
No tickets are required to attend the free exhibitions, but you need to hurry and book a ticket for the talks (mostly free) and walks (small cost). If you want to find out more about the exciting river-related events in September, go to www.thamesfestivaltrust.org.
