Tin-Glazed Pottery: What is it? Where does it come from? How did it get to our shores? In this new series, Pottery Pieces, I look at some of the most frequently found pottery fragments from the tidal River Thames foreshore. In this episode we are looking at tin-glazed earthenwares and English delftware, with a particular focus on London potteries between the 16th and 18th century. Join me on this journey through time, to give some historical context to these little beauties of the foreshore!
